The Vail Valley is full of exciting and diverse Apres ski and nightlife options. Après-ski is a long-held ski resort tradition. After a full day of making turns on the slopes it is time to hit the bars for cocktails, music, dancing and good old camaraderie with people you have never met but who share your passion to ski.
The Vail Valley is one of the Rocky Mountains top destinations for nightlife-with live music, nightclubs, dining, street parties, free concerts and more.
From acoustic guitarists to bands on the verge of making it big, music is a mainstay of the local nightlife scene. The Vail Valley is the perfect place to see big-name acts in small, intimate settings.
Snoop Dogg, BB King, Nora Jones, Sara Maclauglin, Diamond Rio and Gordon Lightfoot are just a few who have entertained here.
Nightclubs at altitude range from local, rustic watering holes to cosmopolitan martini bars and everything in between. Get ready to experience all the fun and excitement of the Vail Valley.
Most venues have coat checks, but some do not – so be prepared to carry your jacket, or bring one that you don’t mind stashing in a secret place and hoping no one else finds. If you plan to hit a dance club – think layers! It can be very warm on a packed dance floor, but you’ll still have to brave the walk to the car/cab at the end of the night.
Check online or with a concierge for a listing of the live music and special events, as there is always something “happening” in the Vail Valley. If you plan to drink – be sure to assign a designated driver. If you plan to use taxi services, make sure to plan ahead. The services can be very busy around dinner time, and again around last call at 2am. And don’t forget the free in-town bus service in Vail and point-to-point shuttle service in Beaver Creek – see “Transportation” for more.
